Join us Thursday March 18th at 7:00 at the Township hall to help create a long term management plan for the Cedar Run Creek Natural Area. Come learn about the history and features of this incredible piece of property and tell us what you would like to see there in the future. This meeting will help us create a vision statement for the property. This will then guide the creation of a management plan that will help the Community achieve its vision.

TENT CATERPILLAR AND GYPSY MOTH WORKSHOP
Wednesday, April 7th, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Grand Traverse Conservation District
1450 Cass Road, Traverse City, Mi. 49684
231.941.0960 ext. 17
Last summer our area trees were being eaten alive! Can you distinguish a gypsy moth caterpillar from a tent caterpillar? What kinds of trees do they eat? What can residents do at home to help with the nuisance problem? Join Dr. Duke Elsner, Grand Traverse County MSU Extension Agricultural Agent and entomologist, for an informative presentation on these local pests. Learn the answers to the questions your residents might have and get valuable information that you can pass along to them. Information sheets and handouts will be given. This is a free workshop for homeowners and Township personnel. No registration is required. We hope that you can make it and take advantage of this great opportunity.
